He was so capable and trustworthy that the king planned to make him ruler over the whole kingdom. This made the other officials jealous.
They wanted to bring Daniel down—but there was nothing corrupt or careless in him to expose.
“They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.” (Daniel 6:4)

“May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!” (Daniel 6:16)

“Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God been able to rescue you from the lions?” (Daniel 6:20)

“My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight.” (Daniel 6:22)
